professional boxers and boxing personalities

The world of boxing has produced talent and personalities of world renown in both amateur and professionals. Celebrity boxers amateur medalsists Olympic gold. The Olympics have long been regarded as a springboard for entry professional, Olympic champions, although some prefer to keep their amateur (Teófilo Stevenson is a good example). It's the professional side of Boxing, however, has produced celebrities whose activities have continued the public.

The bareknuckle was produced legends like John L. Sullivan. In the period without wearing boxing gloves and boxing after Queensberry, Jem Mace called the father of modern boxing has been remarkable.

What is post-Queensberry (or modern) is that as many legendary boxers. Beginning with Jim Jeffries and Tommy Burns (who lost against the first champion black heavyweight Jack Johnson (1908-1915)), the early battles were more open, where the boxing style and technique was still robust, and sperm and the resistance have been active. Heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey (1919-1926) was one of the most important fighters of this period. Boxing the 1930s despite being hit by the depression, I saw one of the greatest boxers of all time: Joe Louis. Since 1937, he led heavyweight scene for 12 years before retiring as world champion.

The start of the second world war has seen great fighters like Max Schmeling, Billy Conn and Joe Louis announces involved in the fighting as a battle between warring nations involved (even if Conn was an Irish-American). The 1950s was a fighter who will go down in history as the world heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano did undefeated. The film's title was inspired by Rocky in this legend. The 50s also had other champions as Sugar Ray Robinson, Archie Moore and many others who have broken records of several decades are all that made the achievement even more remarkable is Marciano.

"Champions are not made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have the background of them – a desire, a dream, a vision. "

Muhammad Ali, American boxer

The decades of the 1960s and 1970s are best remembered for the dominance of a boxer named Cassius Clay, who, he said, "shocked the world," he said against the war and changed his name to Muhammad Ali. Many sociologists, observers and critics now view Ali as a reflection of the evolution of society in this decade. Ali had tough opponents as Joe Frazier, Leon Spinks, Ken Norton and George Foreman, and still managed to recover again and again. Larry Holmes (an apprentice of Ali) and electric both promoter Don King gained in importance during this period.

If ever there was a bad boy of boxing, the title is also a man who broke the professional boxing a hurricane. Mike Tyson, nicknamed "Iron" Because he had the most devastating blows ever, took the world by storm. The figure most dominant in the system of heavy vehicles in the 80 middle and the end, she ran over their opponents in a few laps, winning by knockout in their majority. On and off the scene, he was always in the news, is repeatedly imprisoned, banned from professional boxing for a year after biting the ear Evander Holyfield, and goes into bankruptcy. When he faced Lennox Lewis in 2002 was beaten physically and mentally. Lewis, as the only British heavy heavy in the 20th century, he would retire as a champion Vitali Klitschko plans to leave the new heavyweight champion for most (but not all) citizens of the boxing.

Even cateogries weight of other fighters have carried out fierce local pride. The best example was Jimmy Wilde, a Welsh champion of flyweight (1916-1923). I once had a sequence eighty-eight fights without defeat. Between 1911 and 1923, has won seventy-five of its fights by knockout. A champion Willie Pep pen that has lost one of its 230 battles is another fighter who has dominated the lightweight class. But the greatest boxers in the heavyweight division is not no doubt Sugar Ray Robinson, who won an unprecedented five world titles in five weight classes and participated in some competitions most memorable time. Pound for pound is considered by many boxing experts as the best boxer of the century.

The boxers more popular, however, have not always been the world title holders. While fighting for the title in the heavyweight division may grant the status of celebrity, as shown by Henry Cooper, who fought Muhammad Ali in vain twice in the 1960s.

What if Mike Tyson could fight against Fedor in a street fight? Who will win?

Tyson used to participate in street fighting during his past life as we all know what would happen if Fedor is in one of these battles? I think Fedor crush it and put it in a coma.Mike was a great style but not doubt Fedor is all wrong for Tyson, what is your opinion?

I love boxing, Mike Tyson and I love him but I'm not corrupted by biasness and is therefore in contact with the true reality. MMA fighters usually have greater chance to win a fight between boxers because they can make change, and can maneuver better in a fight without rules, while the fighters are strictly based on drilling and MMA fighter can handle the head and throwing kicks. By not forgetting, Fedor has a strong chin despite close calls with Randelman Fujita and even demonstrated that it is almost unknock-outable. Fedor has a great technique and applies a quiet style of combat which is designed to win by any movements in the various disciplines of strokes foot, kicking the head, blow, blow, or submission. Take Fedor by KO or submission easy.
